Reposting: Is this really called life...?

Let's see... ~12 hours in the office + ~7 hours sleeping + ~5 hours working from home/surfing the Internet/other stuff. This is life?

Ermmm... That's fun though, when you minus all those so-called troubles, problems, etc. Life IS beautiful when we are optimistic. I remembered there was one incident in the book John (New Testament, Bible) whereby Jesus changed water into wine. This is very significant. Water typifies death in this case (in other cases, water actually typifies life). In the world, death is everywhere. Just look around and you will see & hear all sorts of nonsense. What does wine typify? Wine typifies life. Changing water into wine means changing death into life. This is very meaningful when I ponder & "masticate" this inspirational incident.

In fact, all dissatisfaction comes from ourselves. Stress comes from ourselves. Yes, it is important and excellent to set high requirements on ourselves to achieve a better work & management quality. This is my principle. However, I'm also balanced back a bit when I was reminded that everything in the world, without Jesus Christ, is vanity of vanities, is death, is nonsense.

It's useless to work & work, without knowing what I want. What do I want? In terms of society, I want to make sure that whatever I do will serve my clients, my superior, and my colleagues well. In terms of spiritual edification, I'm on the way of being balanced to realize that work without Jesus is meaningless. When one losses the focus of life, he's doomed. But through encouragement, one can climb back real fast & set his goal/aim straight again ;-)

Happy living!

  1. Work is but a phase we all 'live' through. It's a love-hate relationship, it's a can-and-can't situation... whatever you know it as, it's a necessary 'evil' to sustain our mortal life.

Thank God for His spiritual food that feeds our soul in times when we don't have the leisure to entertain our physical self.

Take one day at a time. God is in your stride each day. Remember Him. Have a heart-to-heart talk with Him. He listens.

When He starts speaking, you gotta pay extra attention... coz He whispers ;)

  2. Hi Silver Fox,
Hmmm... I do hope that God will not be so objective to me. I believe God, the Lord Jesus, exists but somehow sometimes, I can't seem to connect to Him... But I guess I have the answer and it all depends on how willing I am to talk to Him...
