I'm a hopeless movie addict :P
I dare say that I'd be visiting the cinema, especially GSC at Midvalley/1 Utama New Wing or TGV at 1 Utama once a week, as long as there are movies that worth the time and money spent. Basically, I adore J-Horror, K-Horror, T-Horror, action, thriller, and occasionally romantic comedies. I don't really like fantasies. So, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is off my list. Watching The Golden Compass last year was a big mistake. Bla... bla... bla...
Let me keep a checklist of what's coming up and gonna watch when they are released.
April
1. Iron Man – 2008's Iron Man movie tells the story of Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intelligence and ingenuity, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man.
2. Shadow In The Palace – Set during the times of King Jeong-jo (1752-1800), a maid-in-waiting is found dead hanging in the palace. The palace nurse, Chun-ryung, who is in charge of her autopsy is forced to conclude suicide and not murder by other more influential court ladies. However, she begins her own private investigations and is led to Hee-bin, the mother of the king's only son and heir. She is hated and envied by the whole harem. Everything becomes more complicated when Chun-ryung begins to unmask a shocking conspiracy.
May
1. Slit Mouthed Woman – Legend has it that 30 years ago in Japan, the spirit of a woman whose beautiful face was grotesquely disfigured by a jealous husband terrorized a suburban town. Roaming the streets wearing a long coat and surgical mask, the spirit would approach her young victims and, removing the mask, ask if she was pretty. The victim's response would almost always lead to their violent death. Now, children are disappearing again, one by one. As teachers and officials desperately investigate, a panic builds as the woman's spirit returns for some unfinished business and the town's dark secrets are exposed. Based on an actual story from Japanese mythology.
2. Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull – Indiana Jones is enjoying a quiet life teaching before being thrust back into his old adventuring. He races against agents of the Soviet Union for the crystal skull. His journey will take him across New Mexico, Connecticut, Mexico City and the jungles of Peru, as well as the warehouse from the end of "Raiders of the Lost Ark", where numerous treasures including the Ark of the Covenant are kept safe by the US government.
June
1. Kung Fu Panda – Enthusiastic, big and a little clumsy, Po is the biggest fan of Kung Fu around… which doesn't exactly come in handy while working every day in his family's noodle shop. Unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Po's dreams become reality when he joins the world of Kung Fu and studies alongside his idols, the legendary Furious Five –Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey – under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu. But before they know it, the vengeful and treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung is headed their way, and it's up to Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat. Can he turn his dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master into reality? Po puts his heart – and his girth – into the task, and the unlikely hero ultimately finds that his greatest weaknesses turn out to be his greatest strengths.
2. Made of Honor – For Tom (Patrick Dempsey), life is good: he's sexy, successful, has great luck with the ladies, and knows he can always rely on Hannah (Michelle Monaghan), his delightful best friend and the one constant in his life. It's the perfect setup until Hannah goes overseas to Scotland on a six-week business trip...and Tom is stunned to realize how empty his life is without her. He resolves that when she gets back, he’ll ask Hannah to marry him – but is floored when he learns that she has become engaged to a handsome and wealthy Scotsman and plans to move overseas. When Hannah asks Tom to be her "maid" of honor, he reluctantly agrees to fill the role...but only so he can attempt to woo Hannah and stop the wedding before it's too late.
Let's just list till June first. Hehe...
