I attended a housewarming last Saturday evening. Saw a lot of KIDS - Eric's Ethan, Loon's Naomi, Jamie's Daniel, Jeffry's Josiah & Evelyn, Rycque's Natasha & Natalie, Wei Min's WZ, Kelvin's Elric & Nicholas, Yvonne's Janelle, Alice's Hugo, and some other kids whom I don't recognize. The boys are handsome little fellas and the girls are pretty little angels. C'mon... they are the offspring of geniuses :D
A few months back, I got to know that one of my good friends is now a mother of a pretty little baby girl. Then, a while ago, I got to know via Facebook that 3 of my ex-schoolmates are now first-time mothers. And... all of them are ladies of... my age. And there are more, I lost count of how many men & women of my age who are now fathers & mothers.
Why am I saying all these? Well... I thought I don't like kids. But somehow, the housewarming revealed an inexplicable truth that even I myself find it hard to believe: I like them. But I can't explore this truth any further because to have kids, you gotta have a husband. To have a husband, you gotta be married. To be married, you gotta have a man whom you are married to. And that man... seems to be "Not Found" at this point of my life.
It's neither Joyce's not choosy nor Joyce's too choosy. I believe, like what so many people has told me: The time hasn't arrive yet. I agreed with Ceri. Every normal person will have the desire to get married, to have kids, and to become a father or a mother. It's just a matter of time.
I believe God values those who value marriage & family. To me, these are sacred happenings that couldn't be treated lightly and neither will I succumb to the view and practice of the people of this age. I believe since marriage is ordained by God, He will prepare and when the time comes, Adam will arise from his deep sleep to see Eve standing before him. I believe.
