To tell the truth, I'm quite lost while watching Missing. Well, not that the story is not good. As usual, director Tsui Hark likes to make films that has no particular direction.At first, I thought this movie is all about a ghost's revenge but it turns out to be something else. It seems to be about romance in a very fairy tale-like manner but there's just not enough chemistry between the male and female protagonists. Freaky moments are scarce but one good scene is that of Isabella Leong being possessed. Most of the time the movie drags on with me trying to understand which scenes are part of Lee Sinje's hallucination and which scenes are real.
Anyway, it's still an okay watch to kill time. Compared to "The Eye", I think Lee Sinje is getting better in portraying her emotions with her facial expressions, especially with her big haunting eyes. :P
