Alicafe Restaurant @ Kelana Mall, Kelana Jaya has a pretty vivid resemblance to Oldtown Kopitiam,.....
.....even its menu and its interior design give me the sense that "Alicafe is Oldtown's twin".
However, its food selection is much more appealing. First of all, they have a variety of coffee and tea. You should have seen Alicafe 3-in-1s, right? Although not as extensive as Oldtown's, Alicafe fans would be thrilled with what this restaurant has to offer. Other beverages includes fruit juices and milkshakes.
For food, you may select from all-time favorites such as mee mamak, mee rebus, mee bandung, mee hailam, chicken rice, fried rice, etc. The two photos here are dry mee with chicken & mushroom (top, RM6) and mee mamak (bottom, RM6.80). Its breakfast selection consists of mee siam, half-boiled eggs, toasted bread, and more. Sounds familiar, right? There are also a few selection of kuih-muih and kerabu, best for tea break, I guess.
Overall, I think their food quality really needs improvement. Since they are newly opened, I guess we shall give them time.

Oldtime Kopitiam is located at another corner of Kelana Mall (also ground floor) and is nearer to Giant LDP and opposite UNITAR. Meaning, both Alicafe and Oldtime are located diagonally. Interesting. Let's see which restaurant will attract more customers, especially during lunch hour.
