A gal pal who stays in Klang has done me a great, great favor! My Friday night was spent scouting out good food for supper in Klang with her and her boyfriend. Thanks for the hearty treat!
My tiny appetite for glorious food after 8pm was devastating. The fact that I'm on diet aggravates the situation. Lol. So, we settled down for some Indian food at a famous Mamak area. Pardon me, I can't remember the name of that place. I remembered I saw a road sign named Jalan Dengkil, Klang.
Nasi lemak (huge portion) with fragrant sambal, peanuts, and fried anchovies, roti kaya, and Indian-style fried chicken with kick-ass sambal were the night's treat. Now, roti kaya is something new to me. I've tried roti planta, roti telur, roti pisang, etc, but not roti kaya.
Then, we went to some place at the border of Port Klang and Klang for tong sui at a roadside stall. Thumbs up for its liu wei tang (the sweet type) aka Six-Flavored Dessert! The portion given was good. I loved the sole quail egg (photo on the right). Other ingredients included barley, lotus nuts, dried winter guava slices, and dried longan.
And of course, there's play time with Patrick, her Shih-Tzu! He's a lovely little rascal! ;P
Here's a great summary from Celia. XD
