Fourth, I like the scene of which Sideswipe (Autobot) destroyed Sideways (Decepticon) by cutting him into half in Shanghai and ended it by saying, "Man, I'm good." LOL!

Fifth, Scorponok made an impressive comeback with rippled movements under the desert sand before he plunged into the air right into Jetfire's torso, wounding him (Jetfire) mortally. In the end, Scorponok was pulverized by Jetfire, thus ending his role in Transformers. No more lost tail and hiding in the sand like what he did in TF1. :S

Sixth, Jetfire sacrificed himself. He said, "All my life as a Decepticon, I never did anything worthwhile. Let me do at least this." Then, he ripped his spark for Optimus Prime. JetPrime was formed when Jetfire's parts are fused with Optimus Prime, thus giving him a powerful form to defeat The Fallen and cause Megatron to retreat due to heavy damages.

This is Optimus Prime with his blade weapons while he was engaged in physical combat in the forest with Megatron, Starscream, and Grindor.

This is Jetfire, the ancient Decepticon who defected to the Autobots. He's also known as Grandpa Blackbird.

This is JetPrime who defeated The Fallen and blasted the Harvester (the sun-destroying machine) apart.

Seventh, a few questions. Where's Wheelie, Mikaela's little Decepticon-turned-Autobot pet? Did Arcee, the pink motorbike survive the final battle? I saw her being blasted apart. Where's Mudflap and Skids, the Twins after they made fun of Devastator? Did they survive? What about Barricade? Did he died in TF1? I thought he was supposed to appear in TF2.

The film makers should have shown all the surviving Autobots at the end of the movie. We only see Optimus Prime and we know that all the main human characters survived. What about the rest of the Autobots?

This movie is made for the masses and the box office dollars, not the Academy Awards. So, expect great CGIs despite loose plots everywhere. :)

Transformers: ROTF - Part 3

Continued from Transformers: ROTF - Part 2.

Third, in term of numbers, the Autobots were outrageously outnumbered by the Decepticons. In terms of size, most Decepticons are monstrously HUGE! Those tiny and less powerful Decepticons were mostly infiltrators and spies, except Soundwave who hacked into one of the United States' space satellites.

Let's take a look at some of the monstrously huge and mean Decepticons.

Megatron - Resurrected from the Laurentian Abyss with the Doctor, Ravage, and some of the Constructicons' help by using one the remaining shard of the AllSparks.

The Fallen - The powerful yet bad Prime.


Soundwave - The satellite hacker in the outer space.


Constructicons - Seen here are Mixmaster (left), Long Haul (middle), Scrapper (right).

Devastator - A giant Decepticon formed by 7 Constructicons. Agent Simmons called this beast a humongous alien remodeling a pyramid. LOL!

Demolishor - One of the Constructicons. Seen in Shanghai, was ordered to pull over by Optimus Prime before he was killed after uttering, "The Fallen shall rise again."

Transformers: ROTF - Part 2

Continued from Transformers: ROTF - Part 1.

First, let's talk about my favorite Autobot - Bumblebee, Sam's faithful and courageous guardian Autobot, whom Sam called as "Bee."

Bumblebee was tearful (he wept!) when Sam told him that he's not bringing him (Bumblebee) with him to college. Awww... Bumblebee has such a sensitive "soul".

Now, let's take a look at how courageous Bumblebee could be.

Bumblebee fought Rampage, the Decepticon who brought over Sam's captured parents (from their getaway in France) in order to use them as bait to lure Sam from his hiding in the Egyptian desert.

At the same time, Bumblebee also fought Ravage, the one-eyed jaguar-like infiltrator Decepticon:

Well, both Rampage and Ravage died in TF2. So, we'll miss them in TF3 because they've RIP (rest in pieces). LOL!

Second, let's talk about my favorite Decepticon - Starscream, the coward. Remember how he fled from the final battle in TF1? At the end of TF2, he said this to Megatron, right after the bad Prime, The Fallen was killed by JetPrime (will explain later): "Master, not that I'm calling you a coward, but sometimes cowards do survive." Then, he fled again, this time with Megatron. Haha! Nice "entry" to TF3.

Here's Starscream, the F-22 Raptor covered with alien tattoos, quoting Sergeant Epps. In TF1, I remembered Starscream looked exactly like the rest of the US Air Force's F22-Raptors, thus being mistaken as one of them. I wonder how did he manage to get himself tattooed with Cybertronian symbols? LOL!

Starscream is actually a tactical and cunning Decepticon. He fought with Optimus Prime in the forest WHEN Megatron and Grindor were around. He also chased after Sam while Megatron continued to battle against Optimus Prime after Grindor (the Decepticon that resembled Blackout, the helicopter in TF1) was killed by Optimus Prime. In that same scene, right before Grindor was killed, one of Starscream's arms was chopped off by Optimus Prime. He managed to reattach it back after retreating from the forest with Megatron.

Another interesting point, if you pay attention to the scene above, you'd see Starscream spitting at Sam.

Hmmm... Bumblebee wept, Starscream spat. Quoting Scott Farrar, TF1 & 2's visual effects supervisor, "...they [the robots] spit, they outgas, they sweat, they snort." Okay, so that's the explanation.

I was "advised" not to provide spoilers till most of my colleagues have watched the movie. LOL.

Now, I'm a Bumblebee ^^

The first time I took this quiz on Facebook, I was Jazz, the cool, smooth-talking, Sub-Commander and Special Operations Leader of the Autobots! LOL. Alas! He was ripped apart by Megatron in Transformers, the movie. :(

Pho Hoa @ Tropicana City Mall

After much late-night meals, birthday lunch, dinner and cake, I haven't been able to control my diet well enough for the past three weeks. A slight increase in my body weight raised the alarm bell in me. NOOOOO!!!!!

Thus, starting this week, I've made a resolution to go on a fruits-and-vegetables diet with margin for wholemeal bread and lean meat (high quality protein) for at least one whole week. At the end of this week, depending on the results, I'll then determine the next course of my eating pattern. :) Yes, I'm paranoid about my weight.

Pho Hoa, a Vietnamese restaurant seems to be the best choice for dinner when I paid my virgin visit to Tropicana City Mall.

The Vietnamese cuisine is famous for using herbs, such as basil, coriander, mint leaves, and curry in their dishes. Most of their noodle dishes are prepared in clear broth with less oil, unless you request for extra oil in your noodles, and garnished with lots of herbs.

The tagline "Health Conscious Choice" drew my immediate attention. Good. I know I didn't come to the wrong place. There was also quite a number of elderly people dining at this restaurant. Haha... I guess more and more people are becoming health-conscious nowadays.

Top: Goi Bo Bap Cai (Vietnamese Classic Beef Salad)
Middle: Cha Trung Hap (Vietnamese Egg Cakes)
Bottom: Blended Fresh Avocado Juice

Goi Bo Bap Cai or Vietnamese Classic Beef Salad is basically a cabbage-and-beef salad with cabbage and carrot slices, lean steamed beef slices, coriander, basil, mint leaves, and crushed groundnuts. Sprinkled with some kind of sourish dressing, this salad is pleasing to both eyes and palate. Less oil too! In fact, beef is part of the main attraction in the Vietnamese cuisine. You can't say you've tried Vietnamese food unless you've consumed any of its beef-based dishes.

Cha Trung Hap or Vietnamese Egg Cakes is a kind of home-style Vietnamese steamed chicken egg pie (quoting the menu). The name might be a little bit misleading because you can't find flour dough in the dish. In fact, you'll find a compact cake of minced chicken meat wrapped with a thin layer of egg. Less oil, firm, and very delicious!

Blended Fresh Avocado Juice is amazing! Blended with fresh milk, this greenish beverage is very refreshing and smooth like smoothies. :P

I'll plan for my next visit here and try out its wide range of noodles.
