Recently, I learn to pray. I thought I know how to pray since the day I believed in the Lord. But as the days go by and as I embark on the journey of the Christian life, I begin to lose the initial simplicity and become more and more complicated. I thought I know a lot.
A few days ago, I was inspired to write a post with the title, "I look to You".
Lately, I realize:
* Praying is like breathing. Just as breathing is essential to our life, praying is essential to our Christian life.
* Praying is like talking to the Lord. It's not about what jargon I use. It's about being personal with the Lord.
"Lord, thank You for Your wonderful doings. Happenings that I think are coincidences are indeed Your sovereignty. I'm speechless. Lord, thank You for the people You've arranged at the place where I work, the outlets where I eat, and even Twitter. Thank You for recovering in me the desire to meet with Your church. Thank You for reviving in me the hunger for Your word and to worship You!"
I'm in awe. It's not what I've done or can do. But when the Lord works, it's just marvelous.
The Lord touches me with these verses:
Philippians 2:9-11: "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
