Eric Bana & Rachel McAdams - perfect!
Eric Bana, you've seen him in The Other Boleyn Girl (2008) as King Henry and the evil Romulan Captain Nero in Star Trek (2009).
Rachel McAdams, you've seen her in The Notebook (2004), a tear-jerking movie, I heard. I haven't watch it yet.
I don't usually watch romantic comedies or movies that dwell heavily on the matter of love and relationships. I'll feel depressed. In short, I won't feel good. But, truth to be told, I'm surprised at how watchable The Time Traveler's Wife is although it dwells solely on the evergreen theme called love.
Eric Bana is Henry and he suffers from a rare genetic disorder that causes him to travel through time randomly. Rachel McAdams is Clare and she fell in love with Henry and eventually became his wife.
So, we're actually watching how Henry and Clare strive and struggle to live their lives as Henry disappeared from time to time. Most scenes are touching and heartbreaking. I believe those who have been in love or are in love will be able to relate to the movie.
This movie won't be shown in cinemas anymore after the second week of December 2009, I believe. If you don't manage to catch it, watch it via DVD will be good too. In short, watch it, it's truly recommended.
