If I'm not cooking, David and I love to hunt for food around town on weekends and public holidays, if time allows us. :)
For lunch, we went to Cha-Cha Pan Mee Original @ Jalan PJU 1/43, Aman Suria, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Note: This restaurant has moved to a smaller lot also in Aman Suria.

We ordered two versions of pan mee - soup & dry and shared a bowl of fuchuk soup. Comparatively, I think this restaurant's dry pan mee has a strong, distinctive flavor. However, it's a tad too salty to my taste and too bad, it doesn't come with an egg. You need to pay an extra RM1 for the egg.
A light-eater like me will always prefer the smallest portion available. To my surprise, I have to "devour" quite a huge bowl of dry pan mee at RM5.50 (small). David's pan mee soup is priced at RM6.50 (big), if I remember correctly.

For dinner, we went to Tappers Cafe @ Block D, Jaya One, Jalan Universiti, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

I chose Chicken & Egg French Toast. However, I can't bring myself to finish eating this not-so-presentable toast. I think RM4.50 is way too costly for such a miserable looking plate of toast.
David's choice was nicer - Chicken Parmigiana served with french fries and coleslaw.
Chicken Parmigiana is a dish consists of Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese melt over breaded chicken in spaghetti/tomato sauce. I took a few bites of the chicken. It's tender but would do better if the breaded layer is not that burnt. Overall, this dish's considered okay.
I've a few more restaurants in mind that I want to go. I'm really looking forward to more weekends to come! :D
