Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011) is the sequel to Ghost Rider (2007).
Nicolas Cage reprises his role as Johnny Blaze or the Ghost Rider.
Synopsis: Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage), who made a deal with the Devil called Roarke (Ciarán Hinds) is hiding somewhere in Europe to prevent his alter ego, the Ghost Rider from causing more harm to human beings. He is found by a priest named Moreau (Idris Elba) who tells him that he can be freed from the curse of the Ghost Rider forever if he helps to protect a boy named Danny from Roarke.
I have never watched the prequel. So, I don't have much issue with this movie except for the fact that it can be better. The chemistry among the actors is a bit awkward. CG effects are oddly uneven and I feel like I'm watching a half-baked B-grade action movie. I don't know what happened to Cage, but his acting is rather weird, loony, and unimpressive. The entire movie just doesn't make sense and it's quite a sad letdown.
One good thing about this movie is Ciarán Hinds who plays the character Roarke convincingly. He's really mean and menacing.
Well, as long as you don't watch with high expectations, I suppose you won't be too disappointed with it.
