The hubby and I kick-started September by celebrating Cider Saturday at Tom, Dick & Harry's: pub+grub at The Scott Garden, Old Klang Road.
TDH's Cider Saturday happened on 1st of September, that was last Saturday, where the love for cider was celebrated in style. All their ciders were sold at RM10 per pint or per bottle!
I sincerely hope they will do the same thing again soon. :)
Somersby Apple Cider
This cider tasted like Zappel, you know, that apple-flavored fizzy drink? So, it was really light and you could easily drink more than one bottle.
Blackthorn Cider
This one tasted like Strongbow Cider, the first brand that got me hooked to ciders.
Savanna Dry Premium Cider
This was my favorite cider for the night. Crisp and cooling.
I did some research and found this: Savanna Dry is a pioneering dry cider from South Africa that led the way back in 1996 with classic, crisp flavors. Made from 100% Elgin Apples grown in the Western Cape, Savanna Dry Premium Cider is made to be enjoyed by everyone and is best served with a wedge of lemon in the neck of the classic stout bottle taken fresh from the ice.
Porky Fries
For some quick bites, we had porky fries, which turned out to be deep-fried SPAM (I think) strips served like french fries.
Downing 'em fatty strips with ice-cold cider was a fantabulous dining experience on a lazy Saturday evening. Lovin' it!
Love the Savannah Dry:D
