If you have the chance to visit Terengganu, do make it a point to go to Kampung Cina and take a really nice stroll along the nostalgic Turtle Alley.
If I'm not mistaken, Turtle Alley or Lorong Penyu was officiated in 2011.
Say 'NO' to turtle eggs! Unfortunately, I still see a lot of turtle eggs being sold in wet markets.
Take a slow walk. Enjoy the scenery. There are quite a number of beautiful turtle images made from colorful mosaic pieces on the pavement.
Beautiful, aren't they?
There are also more beautiful turtle images on the wall.

Very beautiful mosaic turtle images. I hope that this would create some social awareness in public from stealing turtle egss in KT.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I hope so too. Thanks Andrew for reading. :)
DeleteHey Joyce, our Society is producing a 2013 calendar based on the mosaics on Turtle Alley. The calendar looks really nice, and I was wondering if you could help us sell some to raise funds for turtle conservation? :D
ReplyDeleteHi Pelf! Thanks for dropping by. :D
DeleteI would be delighted to write about the calendar to let more people know about turtle conservation.
Then if they want to purchase, they can be directed to you and your team? Because I'm not sure how many can I sell from my end. :D
Cheers!
